Climbing tour Nevado Vallunaraju
It is one of the mountains located in the Cordillera Blanca, within the Huascarán National Park, Ancash. Its top can be easily seen from the city of Huaraz. The peak has an altitude of 5,685 meters and is technically considered a 5,000 medium climb, and the advantage is that it can be done in just 2 days.
However, any ascent to a peak implies certain risks and therefore requires: adequate prior acclimatization, the necessary technical equipment, qualified mountain guides and experience hiking in rugged areas.

Path to the moraine camp
The path to reach its moraine field (5000 masl) is through a mixed path (rock and earth) with some parts with quite steep slopes, even not suitable for those who suffer from vertigo. The time it can take from the Llaca ravine (where the vehicle leaves us) is between 3 to 4 hours and depends a lot on the physical condition of the climber.
Way to the summit
To climb to the top it is necessary to get up between 2:00 or 3:00 am, in addition to having a good acclimatization, basic technical knowledge and experience in handling climbing equipment such as ice axes and walking with crampons are required. The time it takes to reach the top is between 4 to 5 hours. Furthermore, on this day it is required to have a very good physical resistance capacity, since just coming down from the top, we have to continue descending to meet the vehicle in the Llaca ravine.
